Strategos Staunton Chess Set Padauk and Boxwood Pieces with Padauk and Bird's-Eye Maple Molded-Edge Chessboard - This one of a kind chess set includes our Strategos Staunton in padauk and boxwood matched with our Padauk and Bird's-Eye Maple Molded-Edge Chessboard. This exotic Staunton chess set is named after Hannibal's famous war horse that he rode across the Alps leading his army against the Roman Empire. This chess set is nothing short of extraordinaire taking Staunton to a new level with its artistic design. The knight with its down-turned head that curves to one side and mane flailing out behind its neck creates the image of horse racing into battle. Very few carvers in the world can accurately carve and replicate these complex knights.
